  • A case of not enough 'there' there, compounded by a high ticket price. El Zanjon isn't uninteresting, but it is absolutely not worth $5,000 pesos a ticket - roughly USD $25 at the official rate as of....  more

  • We went on an hour long guided tour. Keep in mind you can only visit as part of a tour since it is still an active archeological site. Fascinating look into life in Buenos Aires when the city was first founded.
  • Went on an abbreviated tour here and it was so fascinating! Our tour guide clearly loved the history and made it so interesting. Spoke perfect English as a bonus. The house is fascinating to look through, going down to the basement and seeing all the tunnels was super cool. Highly recommend to learn a bit more history about the city and see a cool spot!
  • Private museum with a rich history and great tour guides. Must see in BA.
  • We took the English tour at 2pm. It was amazing, and I would definitely recommend it! I didn’t catch the name of our tour guide, but he was extremely engaging and clearly very passionate about sharing the history of the house!
  • Still not quite sure what this museum is/was about, I think it's the original/earlier settlements of Buenos Aires that the current city was constructed atop of? The tour guides, once they get going, seemed pretty cohesive, and the quality of the restorations is immaculate, but the very bit of context needed to start the tour, aka what the whole thing is about, somehow never made it to my eyes or ears, and consequently I was a bit lost about the whole purpose.
