Wine History Museum Of Armenia, Sasunik

Had a blast celebrating a friend's birthday here. Other than wine and brandy production they are also offering factory tours available in Armenian, Russian and English together with tasting. There is a restaurant here too. The Armenian tour guide was excellent, she made everything sound very interesting and was so patient with us. As far as wine tasting, we got to try 3 different wines paired with some cold cuts, cheeses and fruits. Restaurant was nice too, prices were a bit higher than expected and music could get a bit loud at time, but the experience was really nice, and I was delighted to know that the whole restaurant was a non-smoking zone. That's such an important thing missing pretty much everywhere in Armenia.

This is a very untrustworthy place. We made a reservation for our wedding and even offered to pay a deposit in advance several times. However, the manager told us not to worry, the day would be reserved for us and they promised to get back in touch with us after they had updated their menu. After inviting all our guests (including from all over Europe and Mexico) and making an appointment to set the menu, the manager, completely out of the blue, tells us that they have changed the conditions (minimum number of guests, minimum contribution), even though they knew we had made a reservation before. We were never informed about this beforehand and only after we tried to proceed with our wedding plans at this location did we find out about this sudden new policy... We had high hopes for this place, but their unprofessional conduct really put us off and we now see ourselves forced to host our wedding elsewhere. Thanks a lot for that, Armenia Wine Company!

Proffessional and engaging tour in the winery with a warm welcoming from the staff. Great view to the mount Ararat. Very tasty restaurant on the site. Good for family gatherings or even occasions.

I really want to thank our guide who waited for us as we were running late that day. She did a great job explaining all of the wines and we really enjoyed our tasting. We shared one basic tasting, one super-bonus tasting, and the cognac tasting and that was a great combination. We did find it a bit difficult to arrange our reservation, but finally we were successful using Instagram. Thank you!!!
