Stop by California Lighthouse and Sasariwichi Dunes for a slice of local history and arguably the finest views in this island nation. Named after an ill-fated ship that wrecked here in 1891, the stone lighthouse looks over the coastline and treats visitors to unobstructed views of sandy beaches and nearby golf courses. The surrounding area offers opportunities for dune surfing, while a nearby restaurant ensures no one goes hungry or thirsty. If you time your visit with early evening, you'll see a giant orange sun gently dropping into the sea. Nice spot to view most of the island, not a bad ride up. There is an awesome little bus there serving drinks, very friendly people. There's a restaurant up top as well with great views. You do have to pay to go up the lighthouse

The California Lighthouse is worth the visit. It is open to the public to climb for only $5 per person. The views are spectacular from the top. You are able to see the surrounding area of the northern tip of the island. It's a very narrow spiral climb to the top. The attendant at the entrance monitors the flow of people climbing the stairs, so there's no backup. You can pay right at the entrance door, cash or card. You do have to have good mobility and agility to climb. Not to mention, no fear of heights or confined spaces. Once you get to the top, you are totally encaged by fence. There's limited space, but there's a 360 view. Be aware that it will be very windy up top. On average, a person may spend up to 30 minutes here. It's a major tourist attraction, so expect traffic of all kinds. There's also a restaurant next door, the only option for a restroom. There are a few other vendors in the parking lot selling food and beverages.

Went there as part of a cruise tour. Simple yet elegant lighthouse. You pay a small fee to climb a LOT of very small and steep stairs. The top is fully covered in metallic mesh, yet the view is awesome. Breathtaking at least.

There are so many cool places to see in Aruba and this is one of them. Just don’t go see it but also walk up it if you can. The views are amazing. Make sure to walk out to the beaches. We rode our bikes here. It was a great ride.

Wonderful views from the top. It was quite a tight fit going up while others were coming down. The stairs seemed steep and narrow, there were no handrails at the last leg, would not recommend for small children or elderly.
