Relax at Rodgers Beach, a tranquil and secluded beach known for its calm waters and pristine white sand. Despite being a small, public area, the beach doesn't get as many frequenters as other nearby spots, so take a book along and enjoy the privacy. Beginner swimmers will feel at ease in the lengthy shallows; more active swimmers need to go a fair distance before reaching deeper levels. Watch your toes, as crabs frequent these waters. Our San Nicolas online trip itinerary planner makes visiting Rodgers Beach and other San Nicolas attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • Folks, it a beautiful color. Great to sit on a beach and bake, sure. But that's it. The water is extremely murky. And the amount of sea grass and se week under that gorgeous blue is even such...

  • Rodgers beach is a hidden gem. It was my third time on the stand before I came there and I'm sad I waited so long. The water is an incredible blue and it's more private. Definitely recommend checking....  more

  • Not as protected as nearby Baby Beach. If you want a more relaxing "lay on the sand" experience, check this beach out. Way less crowded, but no facilities. Pack accordingly.

  • Quiet beach with a beautiful view, which is ruined by the standing next to it local refinery
  • Parking lot under construction as of February 2023, so limited parking. Beach is very nice and water is very swim able. You can even snorkel in 6' to 8' of water if you venture past the break wall.
  • Beautiful soft sandy beach with clear water. We came on the weekend and there was someone with a giant speaker on their car DJ’ing on the beach. It was a fun atmosphere. We visited again on a weekday and it was much more quiet.
  • This beach is a representation of our human footprint on Mother Earth. To have a gorgeous body of water juxtapose with an industrial monster, such as a refinery, is a poetic symbol of the how we continue to spoil our world. On the contrary, there is an uncertain beauty that you can’t deny when you take your first glance. Personally, I would not advise swimming here due to the closer proximity to the refinery.
  • At first I was disappointed by the view of the refinery and when I realized the snorkeling view was mostly seaweeds. But when I paddled boarded out kind of far I saw three sea turtles breach the surface individually within the span of ten minutes!
