Create an itinerary including Mangel Halto Beach
Known locally for excellent snorkeling, Mangel Halto Beach supports diverse marine life both inside the bay and in the coral's outer reaches. Snow white sands and beach huts face southeast, and a leafy network of mangroves hem in the bay that leads to the reef. More experienced snorkelers can head to the outer reef where octopuses, morays, and barracudas reside. On dry land, enjoy the many secluded corners of the beach and bring chairs or a towel to bask in the sun. To visit Mangel Halto Beach on your trip to Savaneta, use our Savaneta trip planner.

  • This is worth the drive to get away from it all. There are very few people here (and locals, which lets you know it's good). The water is calm and warm and there is decent snorkeling. You can set...

  • This is a beautiful secluded beach that is great for families and snorkeling. The water is shallow enough for young kids and this goes out pretty far. I believe there’s also a sandbar out there, but I never went over to it. Fish are all around and small crabs lurk on the rock formations near the shore. It’s more than just the typical beach shoreline; there are quite a few secluded spaces with mangroves that provide shade and your own small stretch of beach. It’s worth a stop even if it’s just to see what’s over there.
  • Such a beautiful beach area so much to explore, there are some crabs by the rocks when you walk down but they mind their business. The water is so nice to swim in and almost all around his waist deep!
  • Beautiful place to snorkel. Shallow water with reefs and fish.
  • A unique snorkeling spot you wont find many tourists frequenting. This isn't your calm float over schools of fish outing like many of the other snorkeling spots on Aruba, you will be actively swimming to keep position over the reef here. From our experience Mangel Halto has the beat reef structure in Aruba and lots of interesting fish to see. It can be dangerous however and does require a swim in and out, plus a constant eye on motorboats. Research the spot before heading here. Definitely one of the two top spots on the island, along with Boca Catalina.
  • Beautiful beach in between mangroves. Shallow and clear water, not overcrowded. Great beach for relaxing, enjoying nature and swimming/snorkeling!
