  • You could spend a whole day here looking at the exhibits having lunch and then looking at the rest of them. Everything is well presented and access is easy.

  • Some interesting exhibits and history. Free entry and a decent cafe makes this a good place to visit when the weather isn't great.

  • I was searching for climate change and soil stuff, but the info desk duo was lovely and inspired me to go to other museums and the botanic gardens. Still there is very cool stuff...just not dino...

  • I visited Photographer of the Year exhibition and also the large mammals collection. This exhibition is one of the highlights of my year. There are new things to see every year. I make a donation when purchasing my tickets. I also enjoy visiting the shop and its excellent selection of books, educational toys and beautiful handmade items. The restaurant is also worth a visit, with an enjoyable vegan selection. The staff are pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. I always enjoy visiting South Australian Museum in Adelaide.
  • Definitely a must see museum. And it’s free for the usual exhibits. There’s usually. Special one that would need a tickets. The free one already would take at least 2 hours so this could be a half a day and it’s enjoyable for the whole family. Couple of levels of different types of exhibits. A cafe and museum shop at the end for the one to wants a coffee and a souvenir.
  • An amazing museum with so much to see and to learn, especially for those into history and science. One whole day is not enough for this museum. The discovery centre is amazing for kids which opens on weekends and Wednesdays and Fridays (10:30am-2:30pm). Well worth a visit to see a working bee hive. Staff are friendly and helpful.
  • Visited on the 27 April after visiting the migration museum. There are lots to see and learn on the natural history of Australia. Covering topics on the aboriginals, land and marine animals, geology and geography. It was fantastic that there were several sections on aboriginals which covered the Kaurna. Love how a small part of the museum extends into the cafe. Spend at least 3 hours here for a quick walk through, but I reckon a few days would be good. Remember to visit the visitor information counter for a map and ask how to navigate the place.
  • Loved the SA Museum, is beautiful place where you will find different cultures and a variety of fossils and information about South Australia and it history. The museum offers free entrance to all the rooms, it is composed for three floors, in which you can observe aboriginal history, paintings, pictures, boomerangs and different tools they apply to hunt animals and fishing. Also, you will find minerals, rocks and a bit of geological history from South Australlia. The museum has a big mineral collection with beautiful samples and interesting different minerals. They have a huge amonite and dinosaurs fossils, dinosaurs skeletons and different animals. In the ground floor you will find a. Coffee shop and the museum store to buy some souvenirs.
