This was educational and heartfelt. It is not a zoo. It is a sanctuary for rescued kangaroos. You have to book the tour and there's a transfer from and to your hotel. The tour goes for about 3 hours..... more

I found this place on TripAdvisor and as usual, it did not disappoint. In fact, so far it is my favorite part of a 3 month trip. This is a sanctuary, not a zoo. Chris started this place on his own...

Great tour by the owner, Chris, or Brolga. We got to interact and see several of his sanctuary kangaroos while learning all about how they live. We also learned how to save a Joey plus got to hold one for a while. Definitely would go again.

This is a must do when in Alice. Highly recommend doing the tour, it’s 100% worth the money and it is so great to see people with such a strong passion helping out local wildlife. Must do!

Such s Nice/Magic Place... Thank you very much to Chris (Kangaroo Dundee). and his volunteer workers. You are doing an awesome job by taking care of Injured Kangaroos and rescuing joy's whose moms died on the Highway. Thank you very much for your dedication. 🦘🇦🇺🦘

A wonderful place to visit! Brolga is such an wonderful & caring person who loves his kangaroos and as he said: he is a 24h mama for his kangaroos!:) You learn lots of things about kangaroos and how important it is to look for roadkills because there is a high chance you find a “Joey” (baby kangaroo) that survived the impact. You can get close to those lovely animals and we had the chance to carry 2 baby kangaroos in a bag during the tour (little “George” and “Marmelade”). This is so much worth a visit - it should be on your list when you come to Alice Springs. Advice: book the tour in advance, because visitors are limited!
