  • It was easy walking distance from the main town but it was oooh sooo cold & windy in July. Lake Wendouree is open and vast with no shelter from wind or rain. All that aside the lake is picturesque...

  • Fantastic walk around the lake. Takes about 90 minutes ( 6kms) to walk the circuit at an enjoyable rate, or maybe quicker it's up to you. Stop off for coffee or lunch at The Boathouse, or Piper on the Lake, situated either end of the lake.
  • One of the best place to visit, while in Ballarat , I felt it a great place to relax, lake itself looks great, good path away to walk and greenery grass to sit, and playground made specially of woods, that are designed to reflect little bit of ballarat itself. Enjoyed the scooter ride it was fun. Enjoyed our visit to Ballarat. Enjoyed the swans company, There were around over 100 black swans, fearless swan which are familiar with people,
  • Nice lake with beautiful walking track. Beautiful botanical garden at one side of lake. Nice place for morning and evening walk.
  • The walking track is awesome and with the all the swan families there in September, it's very pretty
  • Incredible lakeside walk with stunning views of the lake, lots of shade and great bird life to watch. Adjacent to the botanical gardens which are also nice. There are good amounts of toilets, cafes and seating along the western shore.
