The Campbell Rhododendron Gardens
The Campbell Rhododendron Gardens in Blackheath is one of the Blue Mountains' most favorite venues where, uniquely, Rhododendrons and Azalea are planted amongst the native eucalypts and bushland. The Rhododendron blooms are at their spectacular best in spring, especially between mid-October and mid-November. However, the Gardens are picturesque and beautiful all year round. Bring your cameras. Please visit website for more information. Gardens, flowers esp in Spring. Afternoon tea during October. Great family place for kids to explore safely.

This is a fabulous place to visit for a stroll or a longer walk. Rhododendrons and azaleas have been planted under a canopy of Australian bush. It has a lovely large lake. Dogs on leads are welcome..... more

Just the right time to go. So much colour. Nice to walk easily around the grounds and the new lookout gives a great overview.

Extraordinary, exotic and exceptional flowers and trees. Words can’t describe the beauty captured. Good for families or couples who want to get a romantic backdrop to photos. No cafe and wear flat shoes as steep in parts. Bathrooms good and very easy parking. Love from your local travel guide - M Please like this post if helpful ❤️

I came to see the change of colour on maple trees. It is good place to relax after having lunch at Katoomba. This garden has many trees; the plants are also labeled for education purpose. Please remember to bring your shawl as it is chill around this time. Also put on a good tracking shoes could help when walking around in this garden. Have a nice weekend everyone. 🤗

If you visit in the right season it is lovely and beautiful. When off season and not following, then something average. Entry is by donation only. There is parking and a public restroom. Not many benches or tables but worth packing light snacks or drinks to enjoy a break.

A good day out for the whole family, Campbell Rhododendron Gardens has a vast array of trees, plants and flowers with a pond. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to & from Blackheath town to the gardens but I am unsure of pick-up locations as we chose to walk it. There is a $5 dollar entry fee into the gardens and you may stay all day until closing hours - 4pm. There is onsite toilets and a café ran by volunteers- the ladies there are pleasant and accommodating. The café has indoor and outdoor seating area which overlooks the gardens. P.s I wouldn’t recommend infants in prams due to the terrain and narrow walkways of the gardens, also the trail signposting isn’t the best but you will not get lost.

It has a 5 AU$ Entrance fee but the place is worth the price. Beautiful flowers everywhere and benches where one can sit and enjoy the views.
