Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park
Located on 3 hectares (7 acres) of what was once a poultry farm, Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park offers visitors a rare hands-on wildlife experience just 45 minutes from Sydney. At this park, situated en route to the Blue Mountains National Park, you can encounter koalas, hand-feed a variety of kangaroos and wallabies, and learn about Australia's variety of bird species, reptiles, dingoes, wombats, and crocs. Walk along the zoo's gravel pathways. Bring your own snacks or grab a quick bite at the park's cafe, which also provides free parking. The popular souvenir center sells a wide range of inexpensive Aussie mementos. This place is not a sanctuary. Please do not visit if you care about animals at all. This is a zoo and one of the worst kinds of zoos. There are a lot of birds in small cages and even worse...

Easily the best wildlife sanctuary in Australia that we have been to. This place is amazing, so much range of animals especially birds! Truly beautiful, you can tell how well the animals are looked after. I think my partner and I have come here at least 6 times the last few years and we will continue to support this treasure

We had fun going here. It's not a huge wildlife sanctuary compare to others, which is good for those who don't want to get tired walking. The best part was our close encounter with the kangaroos and koalas! You will be able to feed the kangaroos and touch them as long as you want. Except for the koalas, you need to pay extra fee to touch them... but you will be able to see them up close too.

Very nice place to go for a walk and enjoy the nature with the animals. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the different varieties of animals at this location. You also have a very nice cafe inside to take a short break. You can also feed animals inside this place. This is a great location for kids to enjoy as well

Busy but good.. you used to be able to take photos with the koalas as part of the entrance, now they charge extra and won't allow you to take a slightly different photo without charging double.. so a tad disappointing that they just keep milking as much money as possible. Love the Aussie wildlife, they look well fed and healthy. The birds look a bit sad to be stuck in the cages but also healthy and well. The staff were friendly and helpful

This is one of my FAVOURITE places in Sydney. I am so lucky to live locally. The animals are well cared for and the opportunities to get involved with some of the animals is amazing. It is not a huge park which works well for me and the kids. The layout is nice and easy to get around and you can be sure that you will not miss anything as you walk around. I brought my 18 month old son for the first time and he was over the moon. The animals are great with smaller children and were very gentle when feeding out of my sons feeding cup. I highly recommend visiting Featherdale if you ever get the chance to do so.
