Girls on Board, Cowes

I started taking surf lessons with Jess 2 summers ago, and I was a complete beginner. Now I am absolutely obsessed with surfing! It's because of Jess and the Girls on Board coaches that I have the confidence to try different breaks all around Australia. If you're just starting out, or even feel like you need a few tweaks to your pop ups, Girls on Board is the place to go.

Girls On Board is the best place to learn in a supportive environment! I attended a lesson with Jess in 2020, and then a 6-week program in 2022 and both experiences have been wonderful. Could not recommend it more!! :)

Jess and her team at girls on board are fantastic. I had been out of the water for some time after the birth of my twins and was feeling a bit nervous about getting back in so I signed up for a 6wk course with Jess and it was great. She is so thorough with sharing her knowledge of the water and surfing as well as the safety aspects around it, while keeping it light and fun. My now 5 year olds have also had lessons with Jess and they absolutely adore her, and have so much fun when she is in the water with them. Cannot recommend highly enough.

My daughter and I loved our lessons with Jess, her approach and passion for what she does makes it such an enjoyable learning process. Jess covers water safety and reading the tides etc all such important aspects. Highly recommend to first timers or if you are wanting to improve your technique, girls on board are fantastic 🤩

Man how good is Jess! I have just finished a five week course for beginners, and I have had the best time. Her team are helpful, encouraging and always full of energy! Thank you for this wonderful introduction to surfing. I have loved it. Candice x
