Gorge Wildlife Park is a privately-owned sanctuary in the Australian state of South Australia. It is at Cudlee Creek in the Adelaide Hills and continues to be operated by the same family that established it in 1965. It is 30 km northeast of Adelaide. Situated on 14 acres of land, under shaded trees, paths meander among the largest privately owned collection of Australian animals. The park provides contact with a range of Australian native animals as well as exhibits of Australian and exotic animals and birds. A feature is the opportunity for visitors to hold a koala.
Gorge Wildlife Park is involved in protection and preservation of some endangered species such as the brush-tailed rock-wallaby (petrogale penicillata).

  • Such a beautiful wild life park. The animals are clearly loved and cared for and the staff are happy to talk about the animals and share their knowledge. There is a petting zoo as well, where you can pat goats, baby ostriches, chickens, bunnies and anything else that may be in there at the time. There is koala holding for a really cheap price and it's so rewarding! There's also free koala patting.
  • Lovely wildlife park with an interesting array of native and exotic animals. Is definitely a fun day out and I recommend giving it at least half a day to get around and see it all. The only downside is I wish they had a lot more signs/ info for the animals, especially the birds.
  • Beautiful place with lots of animals to touch and feed. We were lucky to get an opportunity to cuddle a koala. Best experience ever. We fed camels, kangaroos, wallabies and ducks. The otters were so adorable.
  • Great place to see native wildlife. Very calming and relaxing place. You can have a nice meal or decent coffee while the kids explore the park and pat or hold a koala.
  • Perfect setting. Excellent areas for animals, birds etc. Staff very helpful and informative. Kids would love it because you can go up & touch many animals, kangaroos, bird life, wallaby's & so much more. It's a must to visit 👍😉
