We started at the visitors centre which had lots of gift and art to purchase. After that we took the bus to the start of the walking trans to the gorge, it was only a short walk to the water and it was spectacular, crystal clear water and had to go for a swim it was so inviting. It was so refreshing and calming. Lovely boardwalk through the rainforest for access. There are lengthy walk to take if interested.

Just a 30 min drive from Port Douglas, this natural wonder is a definite must to visit. We were advised not to swim on our visit due the current water level, as there's been a lot of rain lately. However that didn't stop us from enjoying the amazing views and unique rock formation in the Gorge. There's a small fee to take the shuttle to the Gorge but worth every penny. Definitely worth visiting.

What an absolutely beautiful place! I had read about tropical rainforests in mid-school geography; saw them today for the first time. And boy, what an experience! It even rained today to make the ambience even more surreal! Lush green cover on the ground... Green canopies up on top. Sounds of birds... And of the water cascading over rocks and boulders. We then took a dip in the freshwater pools... The water was so cool and refreshing. Do visit this place if you're in Northern Queensland.

Beautiful walk, feels like going on an adventure. There is a shuttle bus that goes from the visitor centre and carpark area to the start of the walking trails for a fee. They finished at 4:30pm when we went in March - a 3km walk if you miss it. Saw many take advantage of swimming in the gorge - though have been warned the current can be strong. We did the 2.4km rainforest loop, doable in an hour with breaks to take in the sights. Easy walk, not wheelchair accessible though.

A shuttle-bus service is available ($13 return I believe) that takes you up to Mossman Gorge. If you wish to walk, you have to follow the road to get up there and it’s a fair slog. Had a great time here, and did explore further downstream which was worth it to get away from the main crowds
