An interesting museum of local history that is reasonably priced and well worth a visit. Full of information, photographs, artefacts and large scale ship models to explain aspects of the areas...

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and appeared to be the only people looking through the many interesting displays. The sailing simulator was great fun, being at the helm was a new experience. Adjoining cafe was very busy with lots of customers.

Interesting local history. There is a simulator if you would like to try driving a ship.

Very friendly staff. Highly informative contents and displays, ranging across local maritime/other history, marine ecology and oceanography. The ship's bridge simulator was awesome (and I speak as a sailplane pilot)! Photos are of Devonport and the ferry, not the Maritime Centre.

A fantastic little museum with great displays on shipping in the strait. Especially good for families. It would have been nice to see something about Indigenous seafaring amongst it.

This place was okay, although much smaller than anticipated and we were not told about the kids activities so didn't discover those until the very end of our walkthrough. The simulator was fun but tricky for young children.
