The Dangar Falls is a cascade waterfall located across the Bielsdown River about 1.2 km (0.7 mi) north of Dorrigo in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. The falls are small, picturesque, and are a popular photographic subject. For a short time after rain, they are quite spectacular. There is an attractive picnic spot which offers excellent views. It is possible to climb down the banks and walk along the river below the water falls.Put Dangar Falls on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Dorrigo trip website.
In the past, the waterhole has been the scene of several tragic accidents. Despite warning signs from the local council, the 30-metre high falls remain a popular jumping spot for tourists. In 2012, a 19-year-old German tourist died after jumping from the falls with her friends.

Beautiful view from the top & bottom of the falls here. Easy 100m to the top viewing platform, small playground, picnic tables & toilets here. Follow the path around to the left & down the stairs to the lower viewing platform for a different angle. Lower area only approx 500m walk from car park. Lots of stairs. 2 caravan parking bays, although our single axle van took up almost both of them pulled all the way forward... Coffee van was set up on Saturday morning in the car park.

Absolutely stunning waterfalls! Amazing place to swim, water is fresh and cold, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the water. Would recommend wearing water shoes as it's a bit slippery and some sharpish rocks in the water. It's definitely a must visit!!

One of the very beautiful waterfalls I have seen. Astonishing view from the top observation deck and also there is a trail to the bottom of the fall. There are small playground for kids, picnic area and toilets near the observation deck. There was a coffee van and It was awesome in the cold autumn weather.

Spectacular from the lookout and super easy to get to the lookout from the carpark, but if you are able, take the 10 min walk down to the falls themselves, it's a good spot with a bit of room to lay out your towel, there is a great swimming hole down the bottom and strong swimmers can swim out to under the falls, there is a rock ledge behind the falls so you can rest. Not so strong swimmers have the option of staying close to shore or following downstream for shallow waters. If you swim in the swimming hole, be sure to watch to watch out from above as the falls are popular with cliff divers.

Lovely little falls with a short non wheelchair accessible track to get down near the base of the waterfall. Track and boardwalk are in very good condition. Drinking water taps, free BBQs, picnic tables and a lookout as well as a decent amount of parking and a public toilet are all available. The windchill at the parking lot is epic but towards the halfway point of the 20 minute out and back walking track the wind stops thanks to the almost rainforest like bush land.
