  • Extremely disappointing to arrive at Museum only to read opening hours Thursday till Sunday 1.30-4.30pm! Today being a Tuesday we are unable to see it. Maybe need to update opening hours on this...

  • Esperance Museum was a delightful little gem to explore during our stay between Christmas and New Year 2021. A quirky, carefully curated museum that reflects the history of the area with a strong focus on the war time efforts and pastoralism. The repurposing of the old stores makes for a marvellous space to house one of the most interesting collections I have ever wandered through. Would highly recommend a visit. Entry fee is completely affordable and more than well worth it.
  • Such a fantastic trip down memory lane. Such a lot of local history in one place that I can highly recommend and not to pricey for the family. I have to say that a stand out display for me was all the debris from Skylab which fell in the area. So interesting.
  • It is such a pity that volunteers are so hard to come by. This necessitates the opening hours to be rather restricted. Some folks would say "seen one museum you have seen them all". This is not the case! The Esperance Museum is definitely unique and has to be put on every Esperance visitor's must do list!
  • Sneaking into this humble looking from the outside museum, there’s so much of surprises to discover. Lady in front is friendly and helpful. With a little price tag to pay, you can easily spend over 2 hours there with kids having fun exploring the train and calling each other on the telephone booth while the adults learning about the Skylab and so many historical gems. Was once fully ran by volunteers, now partially, this place has been very well maintained. Toilet is surprisingly sparkling clean! This place is full of potential and is highly recommended for those who appreciate to learn about things of previous generations used (when the world was still plastic free).
  • Very cool museum with lots of interesting old stuff. Alot of old farming and industrial machinery and a variety of old vehicles, as well as military, pioneer and maritime exhibits. My favourite things were the old shop display with all the old products, and the skylab exhibition which showcases a fair amount of parts from the space station.
