Create an itinerary including Esperance Stonehenge
Constructed of giant blocks, some of which weigh more than 50 tons (100,000 lbs), Esperance Stonehenge is the only astronomically-aligned, full-scale, exact replica of the original Stonehenge in England. Built of pink granite, a local material, the structure was designed to look precisely like the original would have appeared around 2000 BCE. Initially meant to be erected in Margaret River, this stone replica is located near the region’s prized Twilight Beach, in itself a popular tourist attraction. The structure is visible from the road, but set aside some time for a leisurely visit and a unique photo opportunity. Esperance Stonehenge is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.

  • Great attraction to see when in the Esperance area. It was very fascinating to see, especially considering it is a 1:1 scale with the original Stonehenge. The only issue was the prices. $36 for 3 people was a bit steep for a few rocks in a circle. I do have to add however that after talking to the employees, it seems like the project cost over $1 million, so in that sense it's a bit more justifiable. Regardless, I would still recommend! :) Staff were very friendly and there was a lot of signage to keep you informed about the original Stonehenge and the one in Esperance. It was also very interesting to know that the Stonehenge lines up with the local Winter & Summer Solstice in Esperance.
  • I always drive past Esperance Stonehenge when I visit my clients. Finally the day came that I had a spare 30 min and could stop and pop into the shop and visit Stonehenge. The new owner is fantastic and very friendly. Happy to discuss and share the history! It is huge! Fun to visit and just admire what the people in those days had to do to achieve such an amazing design and build. Looking at just enjoying a short visit, this is the place for you. Cost is very affordable. Around $12 per adult from memory. Psssss tip. Don’t ask how much it costed to build. Super big secret. Enjoy!
  • Amazing attraction in the Esperance area, easy to get to. It's great to see what the original stonehenge looked like shortly after it was built. The scale is truly impressive. Everyone was very friendly. Plan to spend an hour or so. Great place to take pictures and it wasn't crowded at all. Plenty of parking.
  • Amazing place to visit. A must-see if you're travelling through Esperance. The staff are lovely and gave a run down on how it was built. Beautiful site. Easy access to toilets and lots of parking.
  • Family pass cost us $25. Friendly staff. Wonderful place to look around. They should display two banners showing the sun views I summer and winter, explain the interesting fact of the Stonehenge with pictures, this would be great to explain kids. Also, should give access to the stones kept inside the fence. However pleasant exp. Thank you.
