  • Beautiful hike! We really enjoyed getting to the top. The way down is just as steep, was crazy watching some people just run down it 😂

  • Frenchman Peak in Cape Le Grand WA…..was real cool to stop and check out….. Distinctively shaped rocky peak with a cave & a steep trail to the summit, offering ocean views. Aboriginal people as the traditional owners of Cape Le Grand National Park. The Aboriginal name for the peak is Mandooboornup and it is an important place in local Aboriginal culture. Frenchman Peak was named by surveyor Alexander Forrest during an expedition in search of good country for pasture in 1870. The peak’s shape was thought to resemble the hats worn by French troops in the 1800s.
  • Beautiful hike and well worth the scramble to the top. Once up the top keep going to reach the cave tank the summit which is above the cave.
  • Beautiful walk, breathtaking views of surrounding beaches and national park at the top! The rock is quite steep but doesn’t take too long, definitely don’t recommend doing on a wet or windy day. (@the.bigredvan on Instagram)
  • Great short walk for expansive views. I'm not fit at all and managed this in 1.5 hours with lots of stops. Steep and not for those with jelly knees or unstable balance.
  • Not for the faint hearted! (Like me. Lol) I'm quite fit but scared of heights. This is literally rock climbing on 45 degree angle. Not a hike. But overall if you dare, it's a great experience. My friends and our children aged between 8-11 all have climbed up. I've added some photos to give you an idea.
