Create an itinerary including Hellfire Bay
Nestled between rocky headlands, Hellfire Bay features one of the most beautiful wild beaches on the Coastal Track, probably named after St Elmo's fire. Attracting visitors with a narrow strip of fine, white sand lapped by aquamarine water, this secluded scenic bay is a great spot for swimming and snorkeling. After enjoying a refreshing dip, take the advantage of a large, shaded picnic area with barbecues and several tables. Facilities include public restrooms. Put Hellfire Bay and other Esperance attractions into our Esperance attractions planning tool, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Outstanding white sand beach, smaller than Lucky Bay, but more sheltered and with good bbq facilities.

  • One of the best beaches in cape Le grand national park and much quieter then lucky bay. It is only a 20 minute walk over to little hellfire bay too.
  • By far the nicest bay / beach in Cape Le Grand National Park. $15 for a car to get into the park. Second beach you’ll came across. Nice and secluded. Clear blue sea. White sand. Hard squeaky sand that you won’t sink in. Well worth the visit. It has a bbq, shelter and toilets there too.
  • Simply the best beach and views in Cape Le Grande, much better than Lucky Bay even. Lots of dolphins. Secluded and sheltered beach, with BBQ facility and clean toilets. Don't miss the walk to Little Hellfire Bay (40 mins return or 20 mins return for a brisk walk).
  • Stunning white sand beach! My clear favourite at Cape Le Grand due to the water colour and sheltered bay, also no vehicles on the beach. Will definitely be back!
  • My favourite beach in cape le grande! Minimal people, pristine water, white untouched sand. I got to watch 20 dolphins in multiple pods swim in the bay and it was magical to see. The rocks on the side are great to sit up and watch the waves on. There is also a short walk to little hellfire bay which is great to. Definitely stop here when you get to the park!!
