Fremantle Markets
Equally appealing to both tourists and locals, Fremantle Markets remains one of the finest shopping destinations in Western Australia. Bringing together over a century of history and heritage, the markets now host over 150 stalls run by craftspeople, vegetable growers, food producers, fashion designers, and merchants. Look for the fresh produce section to stock up on tasty treats and snacks, or head straight for the food court to have your fill of globally popular street specialties.Snoop around Fremantle Markets to buy indigenous souvenirs like boomerangs and didgeridoos. Explore the 150 vibrant shops and discover why the market was listed in the Register of Heritage Places. Built in 1897, the market is lined with small shops selling crafts in the indoor hall and fresh produce in outdoor yard. Walk past street performers and enter the market through the ornate stone arches. The rough washed limestone of the walls and the high iron roof add to the charm. A walk at the market is a good way to spend a rainy day since it is covered. Try the kangaroo jerky. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Fremantle holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Fremantle Markets and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

The best spot in Fremantle. There are so many different kinds of foods and accessories. Lots of interesting shops great to hang out here on weekends! And it is only open on weekends. Friday Saturday and Sunday. I like here. This market is very gorgeous.

A good shopping place of all things big and small. Clothes, coffee, Tea, Flowers, leather goods, fresh and cheap veggies, various food stalls of different parts of the world is here. Mostly crowded and busy inside. It’s good for people wanting to spend some time cruising around and away from the city.

Went on a Saturday and it's school holidays. It's been very busy, but I enjoyed it. I expected a little more local art and not products from Nepal and India. The food stalls were plenty to choose from and was in luck with the chai latte. Very festive feel to it. Some nice fashion and jewellery piece to buy.
-
A very popular undercover market that is steeped in history. Huge range of fruit & vegetable, clothing & collectible stalls. This market has something for everyone including lots of food options. Toilets were spotlessly clean. Very popular with buskers. Can get extremely busy - recommend to go early.

I haven't been here in years! It hasn't changed much, and the vibes are still there! If your not a fan of crowds, possible chaos, hunting down parking and small spaces, this is NOT the place for you. This place holds lots of little shops, local products, Perth sellers and quirky Fremantle things. I saw some amazing local Honey products, whisky tasting, sweets and waffles. The coffee guy at the front entrance was amazing, the sellers were helping eachother (or no one would eat or have breaks) and overall, it's a nice day out to do something different ✨️🖼🧸🌯🍦☕️
