Harrington Beach State Park, Harrington

Paths to beach are very sandy and difficult for people with mobility problems. It would be nice to see a board walk that is wheelchair ♿ friendly so that all visitors can see this amazing area.

My mate hired a bike from the adventure club was an excellent park with well maintained facilities BBQs were clean and public toilets were immaculate.

A great 360° view of Harrington and its surrounds is available at Captain Cook Bicentennial Park. The info board is a wealth of historical information relating to Harrington and it's seafaring development. The compass plate and its relative distances to many locations both local and international shows a surprising aspect and orientation to the lay of the land. Harrington itself is a quaint, sleepy seaside fishing village in the old area (CBD). Club Harrington is modern and has an awesome view on the southern side with large glass windows fronting the estuary and Old Bar on the other side of the Manning. Modern luxurious houses and Harrigan's Irish Pub located in the quays area to the south west of the CBD represents the newer developments. Another place of interest, Crowdy Head lies just 5km to the north east and offers spectacular sunrise opportunities on the right day. This place would also be a pumping surf location with the right conditions.

Beautiful long, sandy beach that would never be very crowded. Behind it, the state park with walks and places to enjoyed views. You get a a great view of the state park, and the beach, from Crowdy Head lighthouse.
