  • This hidden gem is not even known to all locals! We usually start walking at the Mooloolah end down past the IGA and towards the left. There is a council board showing you the walk and what to see...

  • There was a road closed due to construction, and Google maps rerouted us twice to roads that were no longer there, or were private property. Very hard to find. Ended up finding an entrance and walking 5 minutes to the tunnel. Tunnel was cool though.
  • Was fun to finally check this out in person. Following maps, it took us to a rocky trail on top of the mountain, when went back into town and asked at the servo for directions for the easy walk and found it!! The easy walk is very easy. Open for walkers, cyclists and horseback riders. Definitely good for young families.
  • Great spot for a walk along the old rail trail through to the tunnel. Suitable for mountain biking, hiking and trail running. Did the short rail tunnel track then doubled back to do Rosie's track then onto ewan maddock dam and back again. Rosie's track very steep in parts with almost 140m elevation in one section. Not ideal for mtb bike but doable and enjoyable. Certainly worth the visit.
  • Nice long track through Australian scrub, built path. Tunnel was great experience for kids to see the tiny bat colony in the centre, chirping away.
  • Lovely Easy Walk To The Tunnel. Wide Path. Saw & Heard Bats Inside. It Was Very Dark In The Centre. Made A Lot Of Cooing Sounds & It Echoed Back. Fun For All The Family. There’s More Tracks For The More Adventuresome.
