    We also took a trip to nearby Brooms Head. It is a pretty spot. We used to camp there many years ago, when our children were young. The lagoon there is a wonderful and safe place for the kids to go...

    The Clarence at Maclean is a very impressive sight, sweeping around a broad bend. When I visited the Big River was calm and peaceful, just a few fisher-folk on the wharf and (thankfully) no power...
