Royal Exhibition Building is an impressive Victorian structure that is a symbol of the Industrial Revolution. Built in 1880, it was the first building in Australia to win Unesco World Heritage status. Step inside to see fine 19th-century wood- and paint-work. Australia’s first parliament met here in 1901. Now, the Renaissance-style dome and lush gardens host car shows, fairs, and live performances. Did the Dome Promenade Guided Tour. Took the opportunity to explore the buildings significant history and learn how it was used over time. 139 steps to get to the top. 8 levels. You can use the elevator if you don’t want to do steps. The Royal Exhibition Building is beautiful inside and out—and a true landmark of Melbourne.

Traditional building in the heart of Carlton. The inside is wide and comfortable for exhibitions and functions. I visited it in occasion is the Christmas Market 2022. I admired the paintings in the walls and the ceilings. Parking is not easy, I preferred to take the public transport to get there. Trams 86 and 96 leave you practically at the doorstep. I attach some pictures of that event to illustrate my experience.

My first ever GABS and man...this venue was perfect. I loved being inside it, I love getting stuck in there with 4.5k people and most of all it was so spacious and the building itself has an aura I can't quite explain!

Historical and amazing artwork inside the building. I’ve been there for first time on Octoberfest in 2017, and accidentally had a job inside the building for six months. There are many beautiful histories about the victorian parliament which you could find them inside the building. It was good news when I saw they are repairing some old parts. Thanks 😊
