  • Any tourist visiting Melbourne, whether international or domestic, will have a memorable experience. A beautiful view over this part of Melbourne is available from the roof of the Shrine, which is free to enter. Discover the real-life stories of Australians in wartime in Melbourne's iconic landmark. It was well presented and informative. Open daily 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm).
  • It was a serene experience relieving the history of Victorians. Visited on a Sunday morning. The place was quite empty and we also witnessed a military ceremony to pay homage to the fallen in war. About how to reach: Tram services are available right in front of the place and Botanical Garden is just a walk away.
  • A memorable visit for any international tourist or domestic visitor to Melbourne. It's nice to see the respect and honour given to those who laid down their lives foŕ their country. Large open spaces surround the Shrine on all sides. Perfect place for a day picnic. Fantastic views of the city from the top of the Shrine.
  • If you are visiting Melbourne, this is one of the place you must visit. The place is symbolic. I got there right in time, as they close the entry to the shrine at 4.30 pm (please confirm this as daylight savings might affect it) If you are really into the history, you could spend hours here. But even an hour long visit will suffice if you’re in rush to visit other places in the city!
  • Just to stand in this small hill and be grateful to all the great soldiers who laid their lives to make what Australia is today is a great feeling. … inspired & motivated one feels . Though a tourist only my heart still is grateful for these brave soldiers. And the beautiful view of the CBD is awesome too.
