  • I am not a Margaret Olley fan, however, I seem to find myself at her exhibitions and loving them. May have to just give in and own it. This gallery has treated the artist's work and life with such deep respect, you can't help but be awestruck. The recreation of the artist's living space results in endless time spent finding details and items that clearly meant the world to her. It is an intimate view into the solace and safety of a well loved home. The rest of the gallery is small, well curated and a joy to walk around. There is a variety of art forms and each are well displayed and lit. The restaurant serves beautiful coffee and pastries. We didn't eat a meal, however, they looked and smelled wonderful. The team members are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it.
  • A most wonderful place to experience the historical past of Margaret Ollie. A Regional Art Gallery built with great passion and expertise. On land where Doug Anthony grew up and watched the River and the Mountains. A mystical place with a majestic present that for tens of millennia has been home to Australia's First Nations Peoples. The Gallery has an exquisitely good restaurant and facilities. Certainly a bucket list item of places to explore and hold in your memory.
  • Well worth the visit, especially for the lovingly reconstruction of Margaret Olley's home/studio. The art installations are well presented and interesting. The cafe/restaurant was very good. Highly recommend.
  • This is an oasis. A well planned and laid out gallery with a wonderful vista over the Tweed and surrounding countryside. The cafe is great and our food and coffee well worth a decision to drive there and eat first and then visit the gallery. In such a small gallery it’s great to see such a good range of art, local or otherwise. The shop is small and well stocked with cards, ceramics, jewellery and books. All the staff were professional and very helpful. A great visit. Thank you.
  • Amazing gallery, in a stunning location. Great exhibits, the best of all was seeing Margaret Olley's work. Possibly Australia's best still life painter. Within this gallery, are rooms recreated of Margaret's studio, The doors and windows from her Paddington home in Sydney are used in this recreation. The rooms are a delightful, chaotic snapshot of this very creative genius.
