  • May Gibbs’ Nutcote is a hidden gem in North Sydney. Run by passionate volunteers, you can take a guided tour of May’s lovingly restored house and learn about her very interesting life as an artist...

  • Beautiful little cottage, I finally visited this place, I’ve known about this place for a while but have never had the time to visit. We did a tour with a lovely informative lady, I didn’t catch her name but she explained told us all about the history of May Gibbs’ and the beautiful home. The cottage is preserved very well, almost like a step back in time, I would definitely come back to here to explore the place properly and the gift shop has beautiful items of everything from souvenirs to linens and children’s wear.
  • Beautifully preserved house, gorgeous gardens and harbour view. Tour guide was fantastic, too. Loved hearing about May Gibbs' life, and seeing her famous gumnut babies. House can only be entered on a guided tour.
  • We had a delightful high tea and tour of nutcote cottage. Our guide was exceptional and knew all details about May Gibbs. We were very impressed. The high tea was lovely, (like all high tea…) probably could provide more for the price. If you look carefully around the gardens- you might find some little may Gibbs surprises hidden within!
  • Learned a lot about the children's author, saw some original drawings. Loved the house, which was filmed in The Ladies in Black. Highly recommended, for the tour and knowledgeable guide
  • What a Gem, so nice, great staff and a nice little coffee shop and gift shop also historical tour if you wish to attend and very interesting well worth the entry cost
