  • A great place with a lot of different animals. A great design where you feel you are really close to the animals. You experience the place on many levels with the towers and the bird view path. A very close encounter with the kangaroos and emus. Very nice experience especially in the afternoon with few visitors. The signs for accessibility are not very clear. Therefore, we had to come back all the way around because the elderly who was with us couldn't come down on the other side of the nocturnal space. Overall, friendly staff and a great place to visit in Port Douglas.
  • A fun and very interactive place to go if you are into wildlife! Unlike some other zoos, you are walking right through the middle of the exhibits. You can feed the kangaroo, hold a koala and watch a live crocodile show. Great for all ages. Our kids come here every time they come to Port Douglas.
  • Its a beautiful sanctuary located over 8 acres with various animals and birds. Though some parts of it was closed it was still magnificent. I would have appreciated if there were more tours and introductions but I understand that it was busy or bustling with tourists when I went. I was able to feed kangroos and wallabies. I got two birds to sit on me. Wonderful experience. Would recommend again.
  • A great animal sanctuary with lots to see, and the entry is valid for 5 days so you can go back to catch tours you missed or just to see more of the things you (or the kids) enjoyed the most. So if you're in town for a week make this one of the first things you see/do, then you can go back again throughout the week - bonus, kids under 3 are free 😎 There is a nice cafe inside with select animals roaming around, so plan to have lunch there. Overall I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the facility, it's immaculately kept & the animals seem very well cared for, a credit to the operators & a pleasure to see, thank you.
  • A pretty good wildlife display. Many of the animals fly or walk free in large enclosures, though some have less than salubrious looking quarters. There are regular free displays, and though many activities require extra payment, there is no pressure to take up the opportunities. Staff are cheery and helpful. We enjoyed the birds most of all. It is great to get a closer look. The entry tickets get you entry for 4 consecutive days, so you can take a relaxed tour and not feel the need to overload.
