  • This scores a high mark for me simply for the many memories it evokes. There is a nice sandy beach, although with a fair covering of kelp. There was once a caravan park here, but it was moved along....  more

  • One of my favourite beaches in S.A! Love the scenery here. Ample parking available. Nice cafe right on the beachfront. Toilets located close to cafe and parking bay. We enjoyed doing the walking loop up above where you could see stunning views from all directions. We saw a seal 🦭 playing in the water from a distance.
  • An absolutely stunning place. The views over horseshoe bay and Murray bay are spectacular, I would recommend Bowen over Airlee any given day 😁
  • Great place to go for a walk and enjoy the view or grab something from the Cafe nearby.
  • Horseshoe Bay Visited on 19/6/2019 History has it that in 1850, Horseshoe Bay at Port Elliot was controversially selected as the major seaport. Unfortunately, the harbour had a reputation as a "ship trap", with seven ships wrecked between 1853 and 1864. From the lookout vantage point, visitors can enjoy picturesque scenery, and be hypnotised by the sound of the rhythmicmic ruse and fall of the waves. The wind is strong, and the waves keep rushing to the shore wash upon the sand. It is safer to walk on the boardwalk to reach the beach. It must be one of the best tourist attraction. Exercise extreme caution as the waves are big.
  • Stunning beach we will visit again for sure 💙
