Facade Escape Room, Port Macquarie

Brilliant fun for the whole family! We were all totally new to the escape room experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a group 6 from ages 9 to 49 and did the detectives office and we all had an awesome time - escaping - with only a little bit of help (Thanks Tony!!!) - with 3 minutes to spare!! We loved it and Tony was fabulous and put us all at ease before we began. We will be back for sure!! Thanks Facade Team for a really great family experience.

A suspense filled challenge run by the loveliest staff you’ll ever meet! I had the pleasure of going here on my birthday a bit back and I was NOT disappointed. Angela made such an effort to make us feel welcome and absolutely invested in the story of the room we were escaping from, it was so good that we in fact came back for another room straight away. They have a great selection of rooms which can be finished in more than one way. We managed to get through category 5 and the detectives room and plan on coming back for their hardest challenge yet. Angela also sent me home with a little momento, one of the locks from the detectives office which I just ADORE !!! We took a group of 7 and did the Sabotage Room today. It’s was SOOOO much fun. We were newbies to escape rooms but will definitely do it again. Angela was the perfect person for the job assigned to her of overseeing our escape room experience. She is patient, fun and helpful if/when you get stuck. Yes - we did save Port Macquarie from missile attack today (with 20 seconds to spare). You can thank us anytime. Highly recommend this experience for mid to older teenagers and up. Go there to have FUN! Thanks Angela and team for a great experience.

This week my family tried three different rooms at Facade while on holidays at Port Macquarie. Category 5 (2 people) - success, 0 hints This room was unique both in setting and the types of "rooms" you move between during the game. The theme is also quite immersive, including the objects you interact with, noises you hear, and goals you are working towards. Due to the more compact style of this room I would recommend a smaller group, probably no more than 3. Detective's Office (6 people) - success, 1 hint A great beginner's room, which we used to introduce escape rooms to our boomer parents. They had a great time and contributed to many of the puzzles, although they did take a bit of a back seat in the second half. This room is well suited to a larger group, with everyone generally having something to look for or do. Alchemist (3 people) - success, 0 hints This was definitely a tricky room, particularly the first part! Nothing unfair, but many puzzles required clever solutions and we had to be aware of our surroundings and keep track of all the information to succeed. This room had the most "wow" moments and seemed to be the highest budget for electronics, magnets etc. It could definitely have accommodated a larger group but we managed with three. All three game masters were enthusiastic and ran our rooms very well. Overall, Facade Escape Room exceeded our expectations! It has a selection of high quality rooms run by professionals who clearly have experience in this area. We agreed that these rooms (particularly Category 5 and Alchemist) were more enjoyable than several more expensive rooms in Sydney. We would definitely recommend this to both escape room regulars or anyone looking for a good time in Port Macquarie!

My partner and I rang up at 5:30 to see if they had enough time for us to play, he told us to leave our name and number and he would call back if another team cancelled. Tony rang us back 30 mins later and told us we could come in at 7:45 to play even after their public closing time. We finished the room with 1 minute to go and had a great time with a few clues to help us along. Overall extremely happy with the above and beyond service we received. Tony and the nice lady at the front (sorry we didn’t catch your name) were so nice and we would recommend this place to anyone thinking about going!
