Koala Hospital, Port Macquarie

It was beautiful to see all the gorgeous koalas. It was very sad though to see the stories of how they became to the hospital. There was a cheeky one or two also. The guides are very informative and the carers are very dedicated. A wonderful place for families. It also has a coffee caravan with delicious food and drinks and gorgeous seating areas.

Could I give it 6 stars ? Only because it is such a wonderful place to go. Not full of gimmicks or animals doing tricks. Just full of lovely, safe happy Koalas. And full of lovely, friendly and dedicated staff. Mostly volunteers I believe. The stories are heartbreaking but the results heart warming. The staff are so friendly and clearly they love the bears so much. Thank you for your care and loving attention. We loved our visit. Such good work being done for those dear animals.

A great place with a very good initiative. Our little one enjoyed her time watching Koalas and we had a nice information session about Koala welfare. It was worth spending in the shop and donating for the cause. Definitely recommend a visit to this place.

This place was awesome, very educational and knowledgeable. I had a amazing time being that close to a wild rescued koala. And seeing them in there natural state. These guys do a fantastic job looking after the koalas and trying to rehabilitate and educate us all on how we can help this precious endangered species. I would highly recommend going to this attraction. Entry is free but you can donate while you are there which is a beautiful feeling.

Great place. There was a lovely man walking around happy to answer questions. Just before we left one of the koalas woke up which was nice. They are super cute and I appreciate the work that goes into saving these beautiful koalas.
