Ricardoes Tomatoes and U-Pick Strawberry Farm, Port Macquarie

Definitely worth a visit to pick cherries, tomatoes and have an amazing breakfast in their cafe. They serve lovely scones with a variety . Our little one had a great experience collecting the strawberries. It is safe and very accessible place. We even loved their jams. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a blast at Ricardoes Tomatoes! After a delicious breakfast of scones and banana bread we collected our buckets and headed out to pick strawberries. The kids were so pleased with themselves when they spied the perfect berry to pick! The range of sweet and savoury treats was wonderful, we took home an armful of delicious things to try! The staff were so welcoming and cheerful, so glad we stopped in here after seeing the sign on the highway the day before.

Super cute little tomato & strawberry farm. Loved picking our own strawberries and learning how they grow hydroponically. Lots of delicious jams, relishes, sauces and more available in the little store. Our small bowl of strawberries cost quadruple what we pay at home in QLD but that’s the cost of being a tourist. Still worth the visit whilst on holidays.

A nice visit. Kids loved it, reasonable value. We easily collected 2kg of strawberries so dropped $40 but at least you can pick the yummy ones. They are sweet to taste, hydroponic grown I feel like I’ve had sweeter elsewhere but they are nice that’s for sure. Nice cafe as well and super yummy scones so I hear. Cafe closes at 2pmish but so does just about everything in this part of the world. Lol.

Picking your own strawberries, such a fun activity. You get to pick exactly what you want... Want strawberries to eat today? Go for the super red ones. Want some to take back home and eat in a few days time? Get some that are less ripe. A great activity for kids and adults. There is also a cafe here (the scones with strawberry jam are highly recommended) and a store to buy preserves, sauces, chocolate, jams, pickles and other produce, including fresh vine ripened tomatoes.
