From the first time we visited Sydney in 2017, to our most recent purchase one week ago, we have NEVER been disappointed. We have purchased two necklaces, a bracelet, and had a bespoke ring made. Each time my wife’s and my expectations are surpassed by the Renata and the Opal Minded Team. The team are easy to work with and are always kind and quick to help. And when we had our bespoke ring made last year, COVID restrictions made operations more difficult for Renata and her team. But even under challenging circumstances, they were able to design and deliver a spectacular ring for our anniversary! My wife likes the ring so much that she now wears it instead of her wedding rings! (It is that AMAZING!) Because of all of these phenomenal experiences, we only purchase from this store. My husband and I visited Opal Minded on our honeymoon in Sydney in August. We were hoping to buy an opal and Opal Minded was by far the best place we shopped! Fiona was extremely knowledgeable about the different types of opals and each piece of jewelry we looked at. She helped us pick the perfect ring and measure my finger to have it resized. I absolutely love my opal ring. It’s unique and reminds me of my trip to the Great Barrier Reef with all the beautiful blues and greens in the stone. I highly recommend shopping at Opal Minded!

This is my favourite Opal shop in Sydney. Initially I was just browsing out of curiosity, I was not so keen on opals (in Europe you don’t see the nice ones) and was not intending to buy any. But then the lady had something special and to her contact, I fell in love with opals. After trying many different opals without getting the “that’s the one” I ended buying a small black opal ring that I wear every day (see photo) and a very beautiful (always admired when I wear it) boulder opal pendant for which the lady gave me some very nice cordons. That opal pendant is one of my most treasured pieces of jewellery. I never forgot what the lady said to me: “you do not chose an opal, the opal choses you” very true.

Opal Minded is the best...they create exquisite jewelry and their team is the absolutely wonderful. My husband and I have purchased several items (including my engagement ring!) from Opal Minded since first visiting in 2013. No matter what our budget was, we always felt welcomed and the team was wonderful in presenting us with beautiful options. Most recently Fiona helped me choose an opal ring from afar. She was so kind and responsive in answering my questions. International shipping was fast and it was just as lovely in person as in the photos! My husband also purchased a gorgeous pendant and earring set from afar for our anniversary last year and I wear them all the time!

3 years ago during a business trip to Sydney, I stopped into Opal Minded, left and went back and purchased a stunning pendant for my wife. Recently, my daughter wore the pendant on her wedding day and I decided to contact Opal minded to see if they had earrings that were a close match to the pendant. They came up with a pair that I think is as close a match as anyone could hope for. Their service has been impeccable and the opals are top quality. Very highly recommended!!
