  • Highly recommended esp. when the weather is sunny and cool. Gorgeous garden by the water with great view of the opera house and harbour bridge. Walk a bit east of the gardens and you come face to face with an aircraft carrier. How cool is that? I esp. enjoyed the succulent gardens. Many wild cockatoos live there so that’s a bonus sight for me.
  • What a pleasure to see the water view sights of Sydney from this spectacular location! The scenic garden paths appear endless, and it is a beautiful educational tour with excellent signage at every corner of this well-maintained national treasure. Whether you want to watch the water traffic, admire the Sydney Harbour and Opera House, laze in the sun reading a book on the grass, or watch flocks of cockatoos, it is all there. Some cafes and special exhibitions are scattered around the gardens, creating a relaxing oasis near a bustling city.
  • The Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney is an absolute gem of a destination that should not be missed. It's a beautiful and tranquil space that is perfect for taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. With stunning views of the harbour and the Sydney Opera House, it's also a great place to snap some photos and take in the iconic sights of the city. One of the highlights of my visit to the Royal Botanic Garden was the chance to watch the New Year's fireworks from the Garden. The view was absolutely breathtaking, with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House lit up in a blaze of colors. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend watching the fireworks from this spot if you ever get the chance. But even if you're not there for the New Year's fireworks, the Royal Botanic Garden has plenty to offer. There are a variety of walking paths and gardens to explore, each with its own unique charm and beauty. You can wander through the herb garden, smell the fragrant flowers in the rose garden, or simply relax on the grass and take in the view. The Garden is also home to a variety of local wildlife, including birds and bats, which you may spot during your visit. And if you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of one of the resident brush turkeys! Overall, the Royal Botanic Garden is a beautiful and peaceful oasis in the heart of Sydney that is well worth a visit. Whether you're a nature lover, a history buff, or simply looking for a place to relax and unwind, the Garden is sure to delight and inspire you.
  • Must see place for all the garden & nature lovers out there. You will need to spend a whole day here to fully see and appreciate the place, sometimes an entire day is still not enough. They have an excellent restaurant called botanical house serving very sumptuous Asian meals and alcoholic beverages. Across the restaurant is a gift shop with interesting souvenirs.
  • This place is always worth visiting. The theme changes at least twice a year, and are always magnificent. I gave 4 stars only because this theme, "Inside the Tide" wasn't as visually appealing to me as some of the past exhibits they've done. It's still worth seeing, the attention to detail is always amazing, and it's educational as well.
