  • A visit to Susannah Place is a must-do during a visit in Sydney and exploring the Rocks and the interesting history that comes with it. Our tour was very interesting and takes you back in time with the stories of the residents of Susannah Place. Would definitely recommend it!
  • Highly recommend this museum (which is included in the affordable Sydney Museum Pass) for anybody interested in how Sydneysiders used to go about their lives at The Rocks in the past. The staff who gave us the tour was extremely knowledgeable and nice, and I learned very much and got much more interested in the history of Sydney. The tour was basically a tour of multiple actual living quarters of people who used to live at this museum before it became a museum, which I found very insightful. Definitely worth the trip!
  • Beautiful little row of houses part of the Sydney Living Museums group. The tour showcases the lives and living conditions of some families that subsided in each of the cottages. Much of the houses still remains intact and largely un-restored, in contrast to other museums from this era that are typically painstakingly restored. This isn't necessarily a bad or good thing, but offers a glimpse into the past in a different way. Thank God we kept these buildings and didn't knock them over for boring high density dwellings.
  • Great to be able to stick your nose in an old house and hear about some of the families who lived there. Brings the experience of The Rocks to life.
  • My family and I recently visited the Susannah Place Museum and we all loved it! Here you are taken on a guided tour through a few terraces in the rocks. The rooms are set up as they once were and the guide tells you all about the families that once lived there. I highly recommend you book a tour with Susannah Place - even my 8 yo loved it. Don't forget to visit the store as well which is set up like an old corner store and even sells items you'd expect to find many decades ago.
