With its long arch rising 134 m (440 ft) above the glimmering blue waters of Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge stands as the world's tallest steel-arch bridge. Nicknamed "The Coathanger" by locals, the bridge itself forms an impressive site with a giant steel arch extending from one massive granite-faced pylon to another. It connects downtown Sydney to the North Shore for cars, trains, bicycles, and pedestrians. When you cross it, you'll be rewarded with outstanding views of the Sydney skyline and Sydney Opera House. You can walk across the bridge for free or take the Bridge Climb to the top of the arch if you're feeling adventurous. One of the best things you can do in Sydney is to do the Climb the Bridge Tour, with spectacular views of the Opera House and Circular Quay.

We went to the museum which provided great info and background in an easy format. Went to a reasonably accessible observation point for great pics and walked part of the bridge.

A world 🌎 Heritage landmark bridge. The most attraction of Sydney is the Harbour bridge. It was an amazing experience seeing a bridge on a ferry or cruise. It looks more beautiful after sunset. Luna park is just northern side. I recommend it and will definitely be doing it again. Fantastic time & awesome 🌅 views.

Wonderful bridge to look at from afar. Takes multiple exits into and out of the city. Can view the bridge from the opera house side and botanical gardens. Has ferry services that can go under. There is also a bridge climb to see the view from above the bridge. A great location near the opera house, city and river. A popular location for fireworks, vivid festival, and cruise ship docking.

Wonderful bridge to look at from afar. Takes multiple exits into and out of the city. Can view the bridge from the opera house side and botanical gardens. Has ferry services that can go under. Spectacular as it is. Both side of the bridge have a good picnic areas. Still be able to find parking spot and walk around. Nice view both day and night. If you have a chance to visit on New Year's Eve that’d be the best. You also can get a train to north side which will cross the bridge so you can see a good view as well. There is also a bridge climb to see the view from above the bridge.

This bridge speaks for itself. Beautiful and majestic with a berry rich history of Sydney Australia. Stunning from anywhere, breathtaking when the sun set. Up close, you’ll be surprised. It’s age sure shows. Stunning architecture to say the least. A definite must if and when in Sydney.
