  • This is a great museum, free entrance, that does a nice job of introducing you to the original history of Sydney. Many of the electronic displays are interactive, give you a LOT more to see than it.....  more

  • The museum is free and provides insight into the history of the area of the first European settlements. It starts with the original indigenous peoples and goes up to the early 1900's with comparisons....  more

  • A free museum with artifacts & interactive exhibits spotlighting the history of The Rocks area. The Rocks Discovery Museum is a small exhibition housed in a restored 1850s sandstone warehouse, tells the story of The Rocks from pre-European days to the present. It takes you 30 min to explore and definitely worth. Highly recommended!!!
  • Rock Discovery Museum housed in a restored 1850 warehouse. Small Museum with nice artefacts and images of how The Rocks had developed till now. If time is on your side, drop by and enjoy a cozy history lesson. Free admission.
  • Tiny museum tucked away in the busy rocks area. Staff was very friendly. Pretty quiet on a Sunday. Interesting place, with 2 levels. Probably takes about 30mins to complete the entire museum.
  • Wonderful free museum with interesting insights on the history of the Rocks neighborhood. Some interactive screen too. As far as I could see, no restrooms but across the street, the Rocks Center has public bathrooms.
  • Very friendly staff as soon as you go in the door. It's small but very interesting and informative of the origin of The Rocks Area through the years. It's free but donations are accepted. Great way to small an hour or two.
