Australian Outback Opals, Tamborine Mountain

Cute little shop, has beautiful opals throughout! I brought a beautiful braclet and a bunch of key rings, some for me some for gifts! I definitely recommend stopping in here and checking it out! The staff are super friendly and helpful too.

My husband purchased my opal engagement ring here and had such a great experience that we knew this was the only place to go to for my wedding band. The team here were so helpful and I loved the enthusiasm for opals. I was so so happy with my wedding band and engagement ring! Would 100% reccommend for opals. I'll definetly be back for more opal jewelry in the near future.

Very good experience overall, bought my engagement ring there, the family owning the shop is lovely and helpful. I choose the stone, the ring material, shape and much more. They made a good job of it as you can see on the pictures. My fiancée absolutely loves her 18cts gold ring with an unique Australian opal mounted on it. (Its a bit too big but its my fault, I ll come back for resizing and edit the review about it.) Her dad was a jeweler and he told us about the "diamond scam" organised by the De Beers group, therefore I'm glad to have bought an unique and rare stone instead of an overpriced, overhyped and nearly worthless diamond. I definitely will be back for more opals jewellery.

We happened across this shop by chance on a visit to the Hinterland. Having purchased two opal rings here, we decided to make the 90 minute round-trip journey again to get gifts for more friends. The owner and his family are so helpful and knowledgeable and such a pleasure to be around. They own some of the opal mines they get their stones from and cut them themselves, so their understanding of the whole process is impressive. Their recommendations on where to go and what to see in the area are also second-to-none. One of the best retail experiences I have ever had!
