Cape Willoughby Lighthouse Keepers Heritage Accommodation, Kangaroo Island

Loved this tour. So much information for the kids to learn by reading books, looking at maps, reading pamphlets. Lots to touch and do. The tour was excellent. Very hands on, we actually got to go right up the lighthouse. Well worth the money.

We didn't stay here, just walked around the grounds. We missed a tour to the top of the lighthouse. The history inside the lightstation was really interesting. If we had more time we would have done the tour and tackled the hike

A fascinating step back into history, a lighthouse that stood alone for decades in early history serving an essential purpose. Our tour guide was informed and highly communicative and so gave a real feeling of the times the structure had observed. One crime cited was the public service removal of a magnificent Jarra spiral staircase, a year before they realised their value. A flick of a pen.

We Visited Cape Willoughby weekend 12 March 2023. We were told fabulous talk with lots of information about the area around Cape Willoughby. Dale was a great narrator about the history of The Lighthouse. Absolute recommend to go but Buy The Yearly Pass as this gets you in to all the National Parks with no extra Cost. Don't miss the experience.

Extremely well preserved and presented lighthouse and grounds offering fabulous views. We loved the opportunity to see up close a Fresnel Lens. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Well worth a visit.
