Opened in August 2014 the Y Water Discovery Centre features a fully accredited Visitor Information Centre with interactive environmental interpretive displays to inform visitors about the importance of water and local wetland ecology.

Located adjacent to the beautiful Yea Wetlands the Centre is a striking, architecturally designed building incorporating sustainable design elements and native landscaping.

A range of local produce, gifts and artworks is available for sale and the Centre can also be hired for meetings and functions. Guided tours of the Wetlands are also available – bookings essential.

The Centre is fully accessible and offers ample parking, BBQ and picnic areas as well as a dump point for recreational vehicles and caravans.

When I first visited this centre a few years ago, the wetlands was in flood and the centre was closed- it was Covid. I visited again this week and it was open... I finally got to go inside and look.... more

We have visited this centre several times. A lovely venue, interesting displays and gift shop. Most important were the excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful.

This is an unusual way to review this.. the centre wasn't actually open. BUT ... you can walk around the side... access the BBQ area at the back of the building and go for a walk around the garden...
