Fantastic circuit walk around the lake. Well maintained with lots of interesting flora and fauna along the way. We saw a couple of red-bellied black snakes getting some sun, and also 3 musky rat kangaroos. Lots of bird life to enjoy as well.

Lake Barrine is a picturesque lake about 1 and a half hours drive from Cairns. You can cruise the lake on daily boat rides, go for a walk, swim or just kick back and relax with a meal and drink in the teahouse. Enjoy the beautiful gardens, spot a Ulysses Butterfly, find some fish in the lake or go for a nature walk. A great day out.

Absolutely love lake barrine. The teahouse serves amazing local food with a view of the lake. Theres a nice walking track around the Lake. A very relaxing and peaceful visit.
