  • Lots of people ‘trying’ to spot the elusive platy here. I attempted twice and was unsuccessful both times. One time was 5pm and the second attempt was 7.30am (waited an hour on this attempt).

  • This place is amazing. It’s a hidden gem ! I have been here twice and the 2nd time spotted a platypus within 100 metres on the walk. Parking is great fits about 12 cars. It has a viewing area so you can sit and watch the platypus. Not really wheelchair friendly as the walkway is dirt and rock there are a couple of stairs but is an easy walk threw the natural habitat of many different critters. Whilst watching the water. I had a water dragon next to me feeding on bugs. The path is marked and has info on the way
  • Unfortunately we didn't see any platypus from the official spotting platform but like a few other reviewers, we had much better luck under the bridge on the other side of the river. The small wooden benches are a great place to spot a platypus(or turtles) if you are quiet and a bit patient.
  • Always a great place to visit to see the platypus. If you don’t find any at the viewing platform, go over the bridge, down the path on the left and under the bridge and follow the stream round (it was a little muddy when we went due to the wet weather we’d had) we saw a turtle and a platypus was putting on a really good show for us. Walked all the way round to the volunteers hut and got to see a possum in the trees. There is apparently a tree kangaroo there but we didn’t see it
  • Great location but unfortunately did not see any Platypus. Stayed for around an hour, got to see lots of turtles!
  • Spent about 20 mins under the bridge at dusk until the first one popped up. Swam around to go see his mate. Then jumped up on a rock just below us and played around for a few minutes. Unforgettable experience!
