Katrin Cable Car, Bad Ischl

Visited on December 20 at 10.30 am. It was quite empty, hardly any tourists. Bought adult tickets for € 16 with Salzk winter card. Normal price is € 17. Teenager of 16 and 17 is € 12. For this price it was a good trip up. Clear day, snow, wonderful pictures. 1 cafe upstairs, otherwise just views.. Hiking and skiing of course. Beer € 3 We spent about 2 hours entire trip. Carry sunglasses and sunblock. Surprisingly not freezing cold at the top, wear adequate warm layers and cover those ears

Awesome experience, will return one day for sure, great ride to the top and views and nature breathtaking. Austria mountains and nature is outstanding! Heartily recommend, it is totally worth it❣️

Quite a small operation with limited activity when you get to the top, but the views were amazing and the cafe at the top served some amazing strudel. Whilst we were there we watched as some Nordic skiers walked to the top which was seriously impressive. We really enjoyed the steep cable car ride up to the top and it was a good way to spend a couple of hours. If you keep your car parking receipt (€5), they’ll take it off the price of the cable car ticket.

Amazing way how to reach a top of the mt.katrin. from where you can go short, medium or long trip across the mountains. Nice overviews to valleys or higher peaks close to Bad Ischl

A bit pricey but solid. 23€ round trip pp. 16€ one way.
