Lüner Lake (German Lünersee) is a large lake near the town of Bludenz in Vorarlberg, Austria.

The lake's depth was raised by 72 metres by the construction of a hydroelectric dam in 1958. The dam supplies water to four local power plants, Lünersee, Rodund I, Rodund II and Walgau. The lake is linked to the village of Brand by a cable car system, the Lünerseebahn.

Very beautiful lake high in the mountains. Recommended to visit. Around the lake it's not very busy with people, at least when we were there, so it felt very private and relaxing. But the restaurant..... more

You can take the cabin up and down hill - the walk around the lake takes around 1-1.5 hours slow pace and very easy. You can hike up to the peaks, or hike down to the valley if you want more...

Spectacular lake at the top of the cable car. That day I saw it in thick fog as well as clear skies. You can see the mountain reflection when it is sunny. The trail around it is amazing especially the left circular route from the cable car

Breathtaking lake surrounded by beautiful mountains! The circular trail around the lake is easy to walk. If you want to take the footpath to the lake, you need well-fitting hiking boots.

Its amazing place to visit. If you are going in winter, you must wear snow shoes and carry Trecking sticks for support. Some parts are really slippery and can not be climbed without accessories.
