The Pfänder is a mountain in western Austria close to Lake Constance (Bodensee). The city of Bregenz lies at the foot of the mountain on the shores of the lake. With its views over the lake and the surrounding mountain peaks, the Pfänder is one of the most famous lookout points of the region.

With good visibility, the view from the summit reaches from the Allgäu and Lech valley Alps in the east, over to the Bregenz Forest, the steep mountain peaks of Arlberg region, Silvretta, and the Rätikon to the Swiss mountains and the foothills of the Black Forest in the west. Below is Lake Constance, surrounded by the Rhine valley and the Swabian hills.

The mountain is a popular tourist destination, with hiking paths, an alpine park and restaurants.

A beautiful hike through woods and alms. I recommend to walk up the mountain and have the satisfaction to master the climb when you have a gorgeous view over the Lake of Constanca.

Amazing lookout! If you are passing by Bregenz, definitely recommend to stop for an hour or two , get up there and enjoy the fresh air. Up there you can see 3 countries in the same time, unique...

Very nice mountain for a hike. You can also take the Sailbahn. The hike is not an easy one with steep roads. You need to gain almost 600meters from the bottom which was hard for me ;) the place is amazing and offers the best view of Bodensee from the top. Sunsets are really cool to watch from the top. Must visit !

At 1064m this mountain offers a spectacular view of Lake constance. The places has lot to offer includes hiking, wild park, restaurants , kids playing area , cable car , horse rides etc. The surrounding forest area , Swiss mountains and Bodensee will provide you an enchanting view. The best and scenic way to travel between the tourist places in the lake constance is via ship.

Definitely always worth the 👟hike! Went up on another route this week, starting in Lochau towards: Am Stein. Definitely steeper from there, but absolutely amazing view after approximately 20 minutes of hiking. Try it out on a sunny day☀️🌿! Gotta love the view😍!

Very pleasant morning after a climb by cable car, beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding area, playground for children and catering, free of charge mini zoo, and return to town after 4 km of walk (from 1060 to 470 m altitude ;-)

Nice experience, even cold also someone can wet here best place to trekking 1.1km height and around approximately 3.3km distance, beautiful and clean area well maintained.
