What an amazing abbey this is the architecture is magnificent and the size of this is unbelievable you can spend all day looking around and the views are to die for the gift shop is good too it can get very busy but definitely worth the visit
-
If you have a couple of days in the Wachau valley, this abbey is worth a visit. Melk abbey is slightly more magnificent and if you are in short of time, opt for melk. Otherwise you will not be disappointed with this masterpiece. We stayed at the guesthouse but it was really hard to find the reception. Very disorganised on this side.

The abbey and church were very beautiful. The amount of land The monks take care is is impressive.

Impressive and well worth a visit. Lovely restaurant too with fabulous views - be sure to try the apricot dumpling! Yum!
-
Had a great time. They started us out with a taste of apricot juice and sparkling wine. Then we given a very informative tour. Afterwards you can go to the gift shop to buy souvenirs and the apricot nectar and wine.
