Create an itinerary including Hallstatt Skywalk "Welterbeblick"
Hallstatt Skywalk "Welterbeblick" offers a bird's-eye view over an alpine valley that was home to prehistoric miners during the early Iron Age. The platform hovers 360 m (1,181 ft) above the ground, protruding 12 m (39 ft) from the mountainside into the abyss. Try to go on a clear day, but not in the middle of the day when the sun is almost blinding. The walk to the top is quite challenging, so it's best to take the cable car up to the viewing platform and then walk back down. Prepare for the crowds. • As we were there in winter, it was so cold to stay longer but definitely will go again in summer and, of course, in winter. Excellent ride with funicilar to the hill.

  • Such a amazing place! The perfect town to visit in winter. If you are lucky you can enjoy a sunny day after some snowing days, I thinks that it is the perfect way to visit Hallstatt. Is quite far away from Vienna, you have to take 2 trains and 2 buses, but the experience is totally worth. 8 hours are enough to visit the town. I also recommend to go up to the mountain with the funicular (in winter is not allowed to climb by the walk side). On top of the mountain there is an amazing view point and a restaurant. I hadn't enough time to do the mine salt attraction. I am totally in love with this town. If you really like lakes, mountains and beautiful cities, you have to visit Hallstatt
  • Must come here. It is an UNESCO protected viewpoint. Extreme beauty. You can take the stairs or you can take gondola to go uphill. For winter season, the gondola is recommended. You can buy a ticket for gondola and viewpoint alone or you can combine it with an entrance ticket to the guided tour in salt mine. There is a nice restaurant here as well.
  • Hallstatt, Austria. One of the best place ever. Deep nice lake between the mountain, very old village built on steep mountain slopes, noisy mountain rivers, beautiful swans, charming streets and embankment, many souvenir shops and restaurants. All this creates an unusual atmosphere when visiting this village. There are few parking lots, first hour costs 4 euros, 2 hours - 7 euros, 4 hours - 9 euros. The funicular in a few minutes will bring you to the magical place to see the village and the lake from a bird's eye view. The ascent and descent costs 20 euros. If you want to visit the exposition and go down into the salt mine, it will cost 36 euros
  • From Hallstatt skywalk, you get to see a beautiful view of Hallstatt. Very calm and peaceful. Do visit when you have good weather and clear sky. You can reach here with the cable car service. Enjoy the awesome view of the place in the following photos. A must visit Place in Hallstatt.
  • The magnificent viewing platform in Hallstatt, just about 350 meters above the sea level. It offers an incredible view of the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hallstatt. You can take the funicular railway which runs every 20 minutes or hike if you like too.
