  • This is a very historic building and certainly worth a visit to explore its history. The views are quite good as well.

  • A beautiful, peaceful church with an interesting charnel house in the graveyard. This beautiful church sits above the town and commands wonderful views of the lake and the mountains. There is a graveyard, with carved wooden crosses above small graves. Behind the graveyard sits a charnel house or ossuary. This is quite small compared to ossuaries in other places, but is unusual in that the names of the deceased are painted on the skulls, along with the date of their passing, and symbols of their life on earth. Inside the church itself are two intricately carved medieval woodworks. There had been a robbery and some Gothic artworks were stolen, but they have since been recovered and now are back in their true place. The church is free to enter, but the ossuary has a small maintenance fee of 1.50 Euro per adult
  • Beautiful view from the curch. Church is also beautiful with a nicely maintained cemetry
  • A beautiful church in a great location.
  • As with most everything in this town it's just really neat! You can walk by quickly and appreciate things or you can slow down and really enjoy the history, looking at all the intricate details and so on.
  • Nice place to visit & see Hallstatt from above.
