Bob's Special Tours, Salzburg

We had the most wonderful day on The Sound of Music/Hallstatt tour with our excellent guide Eva today. My mother and I both loved the tour. It was a small group which meant we could ask plenty questions and ensured that we had the best trip possible. I would definitely book with Bob’s Special Tours again and would highly recommend them to anyone travelling to Salzburg.

My husband and I booked the Sound of Music Tour in August, 2022. It was wonderful - there were only four of us on the tour so we were able to get a lot of individualized information. Our tour guide was wonderful and provided a great deal of WW II history. In fact, we received more historical information on this tour as we did on the Eagles Nest Historical Tour. The tour covers a lot of ground and we were able to see the many wonderful sites in Salzburg and beyond. DO NOT do the Panorama tour. On many of our stops, we saw the huge buses and large amounts of tourists to one guide. Bob's is the way to go.

Undoubtedly the best tour I personally have participated in, the Sound Of Music + Hallstatt package was extraordinary. All the landmarks and poi’s relevant had their respective information provided by our guide along the drive. I had not watched nor had interest in the sound of music but this tour had flipped that around alone. The short stay in hallstatt was more than enough to view and explore the grounds and surreal environment the lakeside town had to offer. The pace was consistent and enjoyable. 11/10 would go again if I wasn’t broke but definitely recommend to other tourists as it isn’t as hectic and loud as opposed to the tour busses

So glad I chose the smaller tour company! It was a small group and we all had lots of time to ask questions. It’s such a unique opportunity to not only learn about Salzburg, but also the surrounding area. I was thrilled to see all the Sound of Music sights, but also learned so much more about the culture and history! Our guide, Tom, was super friendly and knowledgeable! Thank you!

Great tour! Alvin made the trip fun, even his honking was entertaining. Don't take the big bus tours, take this one. Drive to the lake district was the best!
