Free Walking Tour Salzburg, Salzburg

We really enjoyed the tour. We had been exploring the town and surroundings based on his recommendations for the last week. We were very satisfied and happy that we followed Gerhard’s advices on his website. It was a pleasure to continue the journey with the walking tour. The tour was well balanced and instructive. It was everything outside what you get with the Salzburg card. The stories were great and we got to see things that we hadn’t noticed when we walked the city ourselves. I would recommend to everyone to take his walking tour before starting using the Salzburg card.

I was on the tour last week and it was great. I felt bad when Leo, he's so adorable, had to turn me away with the covid rules, but I returned at 3:00. I do recommend going online and getting a spot with the current Austrian rules. The 3:00 was a small group and much better than the larger crowd, glad I returned. Leo was very knowledgeable about the city and over all history along with what's good to eat or drink. Would 100% recommend to anyone coming to Salzburg.

Walking tour with Leo messer was an amazing experience. This guy has a passion for history and humble in nature. The tour comprised of people across various countries. I would highly recommend you to spend 1 to maybe 2 hours to get to know about Salzburg with Leo.

Walking tour with Leo is one of the best way to explore Salzburg. Leo is extremely knowledable and very friendly. He explains everything in detail. He does interact with people in the group and it never becomes boring. Even though there are more than 20 paricipants, leo manages the tour very well to keep the attention of all the participants. After tour, each one of us got a little map with recommended ToDo's which helped us to find our way around the city and a postcard (photo originally taken by Gerhard - a lovely souvenir). Leo was an engaging young man who spoke English nearly perfectly. The pace of both his delivery and the tour was relaxed and he was well-prepared with pictures to illustrate various subject matters. His commentary was not only the run of the mill you get on audio guides but also historical and cultural snippets that you would not necessarily be aware of otherwise.
